Hi Chetan,
Its 6.30 in the morning and 2states kept me up the whole night. I have just finished reading it and its simply superb. Indeed captivating. It was a mixed bag of emotions. I laughed along, imagined it as your story, got pissed when things were getting difficult for Ananya and Krish, refreshed my thoughts of arguements with my dad and lots more (guess we all like to pry in other ppl’s life with gr8 enthusiasm). Thanks for keeping me with myself for 2 whole days .. Best wishes for 2 States.
hii chetan
u know when i was in 4th std frm dt time reading novels nd books but d way u write is totally amazing, full of emotion and very close to every heart. d people can feel as if its dr own story.

i read ur book 2 states very recently,to me this is the best book from u so far. i started reading ur book one year ago and perhaps because i am in the same stream as u were in ur ug i became a great fan of ur books amd since then i have gone through all ur books.
hi chetan………….i have read all your 4 novels……..and recently i have completed two states………its amazing…….truly awesome…..eagerly waiting for your next novel
I am a great fan of you and your books…I have read all your books more than 3 times….The specialty of yours books is that i can visualise every line in ur book….Look forward to your next book..Any hint on that ?
hello chetan,
i just finished reading 2 states in 7 hours flat.i just couldnt put the book down.it was like an addiction.i laughed, cried and experienced a whole bag of emotions while reading the book.i could somehow relate with the characters and the story.i have read all your four books and i always feel that the last book i read is the best but u keep outsmarting urself.
keep up the excellent work!!!!
loooking forward to ur next novel DESPERATELY
You know chetan what makes you so special? Passion. You wrote in your third novel that you are not a great fan of cricket, but I think you should atleast follow Rahul Dravid, another man with the P thing. Blessed to have you two men as my idols. Anyway, somthing about me…
I am a journo with Reuters and most people of our tribe are generally cynics. But somehow I could not be a cynic of your writing. Instead, I end up fighting with my colleagues defending you. I can only say, don’t bother about critical acclaims, simplicity (simple wriring in your case) is tougher, you should know.
Happy Diwali Chetan! Guys are already so much in praise for you.I don’t know what else to mention or say. But,you indeed are an inspiration for many.Chetan! Why don’t you try writing on deeper subjects. The reason I say so is , there can’t be any wordsmith who can put the deepest of things easily into the mind of people with this utmost simplicity that you have. So, please I’m sure that you have many many more thoughts that would materialize into books. But, Chetan please give it a thought. And yes, you made us happy with this work as you always have done. “Illa Comparison to Cheatan”
Just picked up the book being the usual crazy fan of urs…and I must say that I havent kept the book down yet ! U have written those things which are actually happening in my own home… and truly I am splits now. I have finished the book half…Curious to know whats following
I, generally, am not fond of reading. It takes me a good 3-4 months to finish a normal book. But, what to a say…a Chetan Bhagat book is a Chetan Bhagat book I’ve finished them all in less than two days time.
Please keep writing such brilliant stuff…Things which people can relate to. Absolutely love the wit, emotions and pain ur characters undergo.
Would like to see a film adaptation as well…perhaps with intelligent actors like Aamir Khan or Rani Mukherji in lead, who seem tailor made for the roles. Not like Hello, which was not up to the mark. Even if it does not happen, would like to read more of u….Waiting desperately for ur next work…before even finishing ur new book…lol.
U start so good in ur books.. Y do u screw up 2wards the end????Even one night @ call centre had a bad ending… ur build ups r 2 gud plz concentrate more 2wards the end…..(’xcept 5 point:))
Chetan, i finished ur book a few hours ago and i must say i couldn’t put it down, it veryyy captivating. I am very impressed how u have been sooo honest about your emotions in the story. I want to congratulate you from the bottom of my heart… you have brought the most appropriate and very much prevalent trend of asking for “Dowry” in our society.I wish i find a guy like you in my life who prefers Brains over Money and wants nothing in marriage since my family is totally against it including me. I want to thank you for highlighting this and also letting the world know through your book that we are “INDIANS” first and of any other religion afterwards.
God Bless You!!!
I am just another one from your huge database of your fans..
just completed your new book, the two sates….
I almost cried reading your novel…..
you said you wanted to bring a change in your readers….its already there in me…..actually my life is almost in a state of krish’s in your novel….and i was about to break up with my girlfriend…thanks, your book came in as a ray of hope,i really don’t want a break up……I’ll give it a fight now…
2 states , Great work …..Chetan . but it seem since u are punjabi yourself , there was definite prejudice against Punjabis as they got the most “bashing”. I too believe that we should consider ourselves Indian first ….but yet we must mantain our indentities , values as Punjabis , Bengalis , Malayalees etc in Backdrop. Shud not be difficult I guess .
In fact have read all three earlier books of yours and would like to state that I see a lot of myself in what you write, even if it is coz we went to the same school-The Army Public School,New Delhi.
In 2 States-which I read and finished without sleeping last night,I see so many familiar moments that you mention and many of us(even though my wife is not from a different state) would have gone through.
We would like to invite you as a speaker for the Tedxchennai conference to be held in IIT Chennai on Nov 29.Modelled on the famous TED talks , our event’s theme is “iNSPIRE” and we want you to be there to inspire the hearts and minds of the people in Chennai.
