Just read your aricle and must agree you have pointed out val;id points but I think there is a need for intelligence rool-out in india, not at the scale US did after 9/11 atrocity because of obvious reasons (more economic than political reasons). I personally agree with your 3rd point abotu media, it’s high time that indian media needs to just produce news rather than sell news and transparency in deliver of news..

Through Prayers. Better if matured Christian or Hindu prays.
I love Islamic faith but when the concept of Jihad comes, i prefer better to get away with them, I don’t know in which century they’re living!!!

Even we used to frequent the German bakery and it was very shocking to see it blown up. In fact we had planned to go there on the very day but got delayed in traffic and saw it later in the news. I have been thanking god for the traffic problem we have.

You should understand the problems faced by Kashmiri’s and there struggle for freedom. It might be easy to say violence is not the answer. But do you really think the Indian government will accept the peaceful struggle? Take the example of Telangana for instance.. They are just asking for a separate state which has been denied.

The Indian media is biased and would never even dare to think of the problems of minorities. So as long as the government does not change its thinking, these attacks are violent reality we have to deal with. Its very easy for you to sit in a big city and talk about peace and progress and chocolate cakes, but you all fail to realize the problems of rural India. Maoists, Telangana agitation etc.. are all just a result of the neglect of the masses by the rich city dwellers. Its not a fight between religions but more of a fight between the rich and the poor.

    Dear Chetan,
It was a nice Article but I feel one thing needs to be added in it.
It is very important to Build a dedicated team with sole target of Mapping the terrorist network and people involved or suspected to be involved in the terrorist activities so that we can get the leads easily and remove randomness out of the attacks. the second part is a team of people dedicated in mapping the RDX trade and banning it It will make it easy to track any illigal traing of this explosive. and third one is to make a dedicated team to map accounts of people who fund such trade or people involved .This will help in tracking the funds of terrorists and any large movement can st up alarm and and new attack can be known beforehand.
Also the punishment needs to be harsh on people involved in such activities and justice swift. Kasab was arested more than one year back and India has spent so much Tax payers Money into keeping him safe but the case is still dragging on and I am afraid some day some plane hijacking or any such activity may force the government in releasing him. When all the proff are there then why is the law not giving verdict Fast.
US arrested Headly much latter but they had already filed charges against him.
If Judicial verdicts are not handed over fast then people will not respect the system and will not fear the system.

    Hi Chetan,
Nice article. You adhered to the maxim of the new age DOers – “Always come up with some solutions when talking of a problem”. May not have to be “The Solution”, but it does give a starting point. The solutions you suggested will take years to implement India wide. And I am sure eventually, we will reach there. But it’s too painful to live through this period.

India is going through evolution as well – post-Independence systems, framework, constitution, etc. is just 60+ years old after all. I am sure eventually, we will have great literacy in the country and then a common level of communication, a certain base level for communication amongst educated and literate people (even if languages are different).

Born in the wrong century. That’s how I curse my fate. It is very painful to live through all this pain and troubles of an early nation. I have climbed the mountain and seen the promised land, but unfortunately, I do not possess the strength to pull my fellow Indians up with me and elevate them to the eventual destiny of our country.

History has shown that it will take its own time and each country has to pay its price in sweat, tears and blood to build it into a worthy place for all. It’s too tough for me to live through this period :-( .

  12. Vishal says:

I think, Indian govt. has always been following the policy of “All izz well”.
After each attack there has been talks like nothing can shatter India, life will still run smooth, Mumbai is strong enough n mumbains will not b scared from such terror attacks etc. After each of such incidents, govt. conveys to the citizens “All is well”.
No govt. till date hav taken any strict action against such brutal acts. It take years before the arrested terrorists are hanged n sumtimes it results into incidents such as Kandhar.

The whole system shud be renovated.

  13. Vinod Kumar says:

I agree with you. All these things are happening b’cos of politics. They were fighting on MNIK. People should have to think seriously about these politicians. If we want to see India Great, people should have to think over & above this bluddy Politics. People have to vote to Candidate not to Party. They first raise issues and enjoyed the benefits.

    hi chetan,
totally agree on ur suggestion about a well organised police cell.
another thing is to include “facts” about terrorism and how much india has suffered by terrorist attacks in academics, for the present world it is more important than by-hearting Mughal dynasty’s era of rule. because present world updates ya present india is far more important than what happened 60 years back, instead of memorising those dates its time to realise whast going around.

  19. Vidhya Raghavan says:
